--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Welcome to RMChart and thank you for using it.
Important:
RMChart is based on the gdiplus.dll. Gdi+ is the modern version of the classical GDI and is part of WINDOWS XP and VISTA. GDI+ runs also under WINDOWS 98, ME, 2000 and NT with SP 6, but is not included in these OS versions. If you are using one of these WINDOWS versions and want to make use of RMChart, you first must download the gdiplus.dll. See the download section of www.RMChart.com for download links. If you have XP or VISTA installed, there is no need to download gdiplus.dll. The same applies for your customers, when you are developing applications which make use of RMChart: Gdiplus.dll must be present on the target system. You may distribute gdiplus.dll with your applications.
Note: If you use the DLL version of RMChart, the only file you need (besides maybe GDIPLUS.DLL) for shipping your application is rmchart.dll. If you use the ActiveX, you need of course additional rmchart.ocx, which must be registered on your customer's machine. Both files should get installed in WINDOWS\SYSTEM(32).
The easiest way to get familiar with RMChart is to make intensive use of the Designer (RMCDesigner.exe). Load some of the sample projects, play with the properties, get the source and run it: I'm sure this shortens substantially the time you need to work effectually with RMChart.
